post-hike beach hotel
After my hike, I'd like to spend a few days relaxing near the beach. I'm hoping to find a place with a little character that will be comfortable for a solo traveller. I'll probably rent a car and explore the island, also, but some beach time is high on my list. I'll be flying in and out of Calvi. Any recommendations for a not-too-expensive hotel near a beach for a solo traveller? Where was the best place you stayed while you weren't on the GR20, and what was great about it?

69euro is cheap for a hotel in Calvi. Near the beach is hundreds of euros this time of year.
The only cheap place is the Relais International de la Jeunesse the only youth hostel in Corsica.
Call +33 (0)495 651416 to book (you must book this time of year). 19euro a night and 40mins walk from the beach.
Otherwise for the money http://www.directcorsica.com/owners/Arbousiers/Arbousiers.htm is excellent. Spent a night there. Good basic clean rooms, with a bit of french about them. My room had just been re decorated and was nice. Next to the Super U supermarket and a few hundred metres from the beach. 69euro a night per person without meals. The best money to room and location place I could find and I looked plenty online and plenty when there.
